Founded in 1988, PLACES, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit corporation providing Adult Care Facilities, Wrap-Around Services, and Permanent Supportive Housing to Montgomery County residents with severe and persistent mental illnesses, including those who are homeless. PLACES offers safe, secure housing and supportive services while embracing the Recovery Model which aims at encouraging each resident, client or tenant to achieve the maximum amount of autonomy possible.
PLACES' staff members, clients and residents at one of PLACES' four major events. These events help clients and residents practice social skills, such as appropriate dress and table manners, in an environment that is non-threatening and great fun for everyone.
